As promised, here is the portrait of my daughter's little one-eyed wonder horse. He was truly amazing and won so many ribbons for her while competing against the larger, warmblood-type horses. When she was riding him, he was fearless and tried anything. Another horse that will never be forgotten. |

Here is the finished second panel for www.muralmosaic.com Called "Wild Ones in Winter", it received its inspiration from my winter in the Rockie Mountains west of Red Deer, Alberta. I saw them in person, and marvelled at the hardiness of the breed when feed seemed non-existent on the slopes of the mountains. Never mind managing to survive the predators that roamed up there, made brave by the difficult hunting. Forever on the alert, they never moved more than a few steps without stopping to look around them. It was one of the most unforgettable sights its been my privilege to witness. |

I will be posting a pic of Billy soon - nearly done. I'd take photos in progress, but my camera is not doing well with that right now. Time for a new one............grrrr..........like all electronics, it was built to last no more than 3 years!!! Anyway, this is another panel I will be doing for www.muralmosaic.com I still haven't decided anything for sure, but there will be a sketch on it in the next few days. Should be fun. Be sure to check it out - there are some fantastic paintings up on the grid already. |

| I just started a new painting again today - it will be over an old painting. I was never happy with the painting of my daughter's horse, Billy (I think its on my site.) So I decided it was time to redo it. My daughter is certainly happy! So I'll post a photo of the change its going through and you will see how different it can be. |

After a lot of debating about what this panel should look like, I posted my ideas on the equine art guild. Another girl tactfully reminded me that she was doing what she called a 'cave painting' so I decided that, though our paintings were very different, it still would not do to have such a similar theme. Another girl on the guild then mentioned that it could be the inside of the tent with horses outside running on the dunes. After visiting my own horses, and feeling such pride in seeing my 3 year old Andalusian, I knew what I wanted to paint on this panel. It is called "Bedouin Pride" acrylic on panel. The guys at the mural mosaic now have it posted on the mural mosaics site: www.muralmosaic.com I decided that I would try another - hopefully not have such a hard time deciding what it is I should paint. It should be fun. It will be #196, and be a part of the front hoof I believe. We shall see.......... |

| It seems its back to the drawing board for me. My cave painting idea was shared by someone else in the project, and rather than look like I stole the idea, I've decided to let it go and try something else. Now if only the imagination would kick in.......this one is giving me some grief. I'll need to spend the day meditating on it. |

| I am going to try to keep this updated for awhile now. I am participating in the latest mural mosaic of Lewis Lavoie's creation, and I'm finding it fun to do. If you'd like to see these amazing works of art go to: http://www.muralmosaics.com I will be doing a panel (129) in the Le Cadeau du Cheval mural (the Horse Gift). It is proving to be both challenging and inspiring. I'll try to keep my progress posted here, and then you'll know what happens in a project like this, and appreciate the final product so much more. |

I finally managed to do this painting of my beautiful mare, True Moon Riverdance. Its been 5 months since she died, and I still cried as I painted this. She was an exceptional horse, and I really believe she came to stay with me for awhile to get me through a difficult time in my life. When she knew all was well, she decided it was time to leave. If she has gone on to help someone else in her very special way, I can only envy the one who gets to have her company for awhile. The painting is not everything that I would have liked it to be - perhaps because I am in a transition phase right now, and view everything I do with a super critical eye. I have also done the portrait of my daughter's paint gelding - but haven't taken the photo yet. Look for it on the 'Commissions' page.

Its been a while since I've posted on here. Like usual, always busy, and my lack of time creates a problem when posting with a very slow dial-up connection. The phone line here has been horrendous in the last few months. Part of the price of living in an isolated spot in the country. However, since I last posted here, I done several commissioned paintings. One for Skydale Airedales of Lumby BC, and one for Chris Paulette (see links on my site - Riverview Equestrian Center). The one here is of Chris and his granddaughter with one of their finest mares - Prussia, a beautiful Trakehner - who is playing the part of 'Pegasus'.
